Italian fashion label Missoni is flying high with a new partnership.

The brand is weaving its signature zigzag pattern into key touchpoints of the Delta One experience. In addition to a special-edition amenity kit that will soon be shared with members of the airline's loyalty program, select items from Missoni's home collection will also touch down at the Delta One Lounge at New York-JFK once it opens on June 26.

“The Missoni amenity kits have been meticulously designed, embodying a timeless declaration of elegance and a profound connection with the surrounding world,” said Alberto Caliri, creative director of Missoni, in a statement.

“Additionally, customizing the Delta One Lounge at JFK signifies an important new frontier for our lifestyle approach,” Mr. Caliri said. “We are delighted to partner with Delta on the Delta One experience.”

Missoni, Delta One partnership takes off
Delta and Missoni are combining their creative influences with the collaboration.

The pair set out to represent “the view from the window at 30,000 feet while paying homage to Delta’s nearly 100-year flying heritage,” codesigning a blue patterned bag that will become available next month on select routes.

Essentials such as a bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, earplugs and an eye mask join skincare products from the premium clean beauty brand Grown Alchemist within.

Those traveling in the company's exclusive luxury cabin can also make use of duvets, pillows and slippers from the Delta One Bedding collection, a perfect match for the section's lie-flat seats.

Arrivals and departures to and from Paris, France, as well as those landing throughout Italy, will feature the in-flight accessories first. By September 2024, the amenity kits will be distributed worldwide.

“We’ve been intentional about creating a Delta One experience — both on the ground and in the air — that feels truly premium and elevated, and Missoni’s elegance and prestige aligns perfectly with that vision,” said Mauricio Parise, VP of brand experience design at Delta, in a statement.

“The Missoni-designed amenity kits, along with unique design elements that will be featured in our Delta One Lounge at JFK, will offer a distinct, high-end enhancement to our most premium spaces.”

Air travel players have been keen to team with peers in luxury. Earlier this year, private aviation firm NetJets announced an official partnership with the British Open (see story).
