Italian jeweler Repossi is commemorating staples with a curated exhibition.

The brand is calling upon French gallerist Amélie du Chalard to help honor the 10th anniversary of the Place Vendôme vendor’s Antifer high jewelry collection. Teaming up with a band of accomplished artists, Repossi has commissioned five original works inspired by the accessories, its partner’s gallery playing host to the presentation.

“Repossi is celebrating the bold union of art and jewelry by teaming up with Amélie Maison d’Art, renowned for its artistic plurality, ranging from sculpture to painting and photography,” said Anne de Vergeron, CEO of Repossi, in a statement.

“In this collaboration, talented artists have drawn inspiration from our Antifer collection, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary, turning the traditional creative metronome on its head,” Ms. de Vergeron said. “The jewelry becomes a source of inspiration for these artists.

“This collaboration gives rise to works that transcend the boundaries of art and jewelry, offering a new perspective of the artistic dimension of Antifer.”

Repossi uplifts core collection
Rooted in modern art and architecture, the collection upon which a new exhibition is based integrates minimalist lines and sharp angles, playing with spatial contrasts to foster harmony.

Six contemporary artists are getting a moment in the spotlight aside one of Repossi’s three main product lines — the LVMH-owned label’s Serti sur Vide and Berbere collections complete the trio — with projects currently on view at Paris’ Amélie Maison d'Art.

Spanning sculpture, engraving and photography, the activation brings together the worlds of haute joaillerie and art, creating a unique sensory experience for visitors.

Works by visual artist Florence Grundeler, sculptor Victoire d’Harcourt, photographer François Kenesi, sculptor Michel Kirsch, visual artist Marine Vu and ceramist Guido de Zan have remained on view since July 6, 2023.

As part of the event, Repossi is adding one of each artist’s pieces to its personal collection.

“The six artists — three women and three men — were chosen for the originality of their techniques and the richness of the materials and media employed — paper, slate, textiles, bronze, ceramics and photography,” said Ms. du Chalard, in a statement.

“The works not only highlight this angle, they also pay homage to the rigor, minimalism and purity of Antifer.”

Having built a reputation for challenging the art world’s traditional codes, the exhibition venue’s founding values also align with Repossi’s assortment.

The gallery takes pride in an experimental approach, allowing audiences the opportunity to interact within a conceptual space modeled after warm home interiors.
