Italian fashion label Gucci is spotlighting the personality of one of its brand ambassadors with new digital content.

Titled “Candid Moments with Gulf,” the one-off editorial drop features Thai actor Kanawut Traipipattanapong, best known by his stage name Gulf. The film and imagery showcase the talent lounging in items from the recently released fall/winter 2024 collection while musing on his inspirations and displaying a side of his character that audiences rarely see.

The campaign was created in partnership with London-based cultural magazine The Face.

In a short directed by British filmmaker Alexander I. Brooke, Mr. Traipipattanapong speaks on the freeing nature of acting, as well as how he is not the quiet, reserved person his fans and the public believe him to be. The programming also features stills shot by South African photographer Jessica Madavo; the images showcase Mr. Traipipattanapong in a casual context lounging around the set and smiling for the camera.

Gucci presents “Seize the Day”

The 26-year-old actor was appointed as a Gucci brand ambassador in March of this year, becoming the label’s second-ever Thai representative and its first from the country that identifies as male, following its partnership with Thai actress Davika Hoorne that began in October 2023.

Mr. Traipipattanapong is incredibly popular in Thailand thanks to his starring roles in the film Bua Pen Fun Yap and the TV show “TharnType: The Series.” On Instagram, the thespian touts nearly 5 million followers, providing Gucci with another large platform to market its items.

This time around, the maison is showcasing creative director Sabato De Sarno's fall/winter 2024 collection, which saw its marketing campaign debut earlier this month (see story).
